CISI : IAQs
The IAQ™ is designed to provide settlement, administration and operations staff with an understanding of the industry, the regulatory environment and their specific area of work.
To gain the IAQ™ you must successfully complete three Units as follows :
Unit 2 – either FSA Financial Regulation or Principles of Financial Regulation
and one of the following various Technical Units (as determined by your role) :
- Asset Servicing
- Collective Investment Schemes Administration
- CREST Settlement
- Exchange-Traded Derivatives Administration
- Global Securities Operations
- ISA Administration
- ISA & CTF Administration
- IT in Investment Operations
- Operational Risk
- OTC Derivatives Administration
- Private Client Administration
- Risk in Financial Services
You need to take 3 units to achieve the IAQ™ Certificate. The combination of the Units will be dependant upon your job function. If you are completing the IAQ™ for regulatory purposes, you will need to pass all three modules within 2 years of starting.
There is also The Introduction to Investment – The Foundation Qualification. An ideal qualification for students or for those newly recruited to the industry. The qualification provides delegates with a general understanding of the investment industry and can be taken as a stand alone qualification or as Unit 1 of the full IAQ™ programme.
To ensure our training provides the best preparation possible for taking the examination, we ensure our classes have no more than 20 delegates attending. We believe any more delegates than this detracts from the effectiveness of the training.
The training is delivered by a highly experienced practitioner and trainer who ensures the course is inter-active as well as effective....and fun!
If you are unsure what qualification you need the CISI provide an interactive flowchart at this link:
