Operational Due Diligence for Hedge Funds
Hedge Funds or Fund of Funds need to fully understand the operational risks of running any investment business. 99% of Financial Institution disasters are caused by operational risk, many of which were preventable.
The starting premise when performing due diligence on a hedge fund is to “independently verify” as much information as possible. One of the most common hedge fund deceptions is about how much money they are managing.
This course will examine the major causes of operational risk within Hedge Funds and discuss what information we need to gather to be sure we are making the right investment. You will be invited to put forward for discussion any areas of potential risk that you feel are important.
