Preparing for an FSA ARROW II Visit
The FSA designed the “Advanced Risk Recognition Operating FrameWork” (ARROW) to enable them to assess the risks posed by firms to their four regulatory objectives. For the smaller firm this may simply involve the regulator requesting information that enables them to analyse the risks without the need to visit the firm. For the larger firm however, the FSA will undoubtedly send a team to the firm to carry out the assessment.
The ARROW visit will invariably involve interviews with senior staff and the review and assessment of documents to enable a risk assessment to be made and, where appropriate, for the firm to be informed by the regulator of perceived deficiencies. It is vital therefore, that the ARROW visit is managed effectively by the firm. This starts with ensuring that everyone likely to be involved, as well as documentation, is adequately prepared.
This course incorporates the "ARROW II" approach by the FSA and is designed to help Senior Managers and Directors to understand the nature of the “ARROW” process and to be prepared for a visit by the FSA.
